Mogging is the act of dominating another person (usually a man). This dominance can take many forms, including physical, financial, or stylistic dominance. Most often, however, men use the word mogging to describe situations in which another man has "stolen" a woman from them, by being more charming and/or attractive.
Origin of mogging
The term mogging originated within online communities comprised of incels, pickup artists, and fitness buffs. It is a variant of mog (meaning "to dominate another man"), which is itself a variant of AMOG.
Like several other slang terms that originated within the incel and pickup artist communities, mogging eventually went mainstream. Now, you may encounter mogging-related posts on TikTok, Instagram, and other popular social platforms. You may also encounter more-specific variants of mogging, including heightmogging (mogging via being taller), hairmogging (mogging via better hair), fashionmogging (mogging via better drip), etc.
