Movember is a term that combines "mustache" or "moustache" and "November" and refers to males growing mustaches during the month of November. The term is not limited to mustache-growing as many males grow beards, as well.
The movement began in 2003 as an effort to raise awareness and money for men's health issues, such as testicular and prostate cancer. It has since grown to a global cause, while raising hundreds of millions of dollars, with the help of social media. The cause is also called "No Shave November."
