Superfans use NOTP to state that another fan's ship is not their one true pairing (OTP). The fan using NOTP likely has their own preferred pairing, which they believe is a better match.
For example, in a forum post discussing Batman's relationships, a user might say "Bruce and Zatanna is NOTP. She's too out there for him; he's better off with someone more grounded like Catwoman or Talia." This fan believes Batman and Zatanna are not a good couple, and that Bruce's relationships with Catwoman and Talia al Ghul are more realistic (for some definition of that word).
