Someone who is OFL is "out for lunch." You're most likely to encounter this acronym in workplace away messages, sent via email or online chat.

You may also receive OFL in text messages, sent while a co-worker, friend, or family member is out to lunch. If you receive an OFL message, you may want to WAM and let the person you attempted to reach get back to you at their convenience. Otherwise, you run the risk of making them hangry.
