Prejamas

What are prejamas?

Comfortable clothes for relaxing

Prejamas are clothes that are comfortable, like pajamas, but not actual pajamas. Typically, prejamas are sweatpants and a comfy shirt or sweatshirt.

Before covid hit in 2020, prejamas were somewhat common attire because many people preferred comfort over presentability, especially if they had no plans to leave their homes. But then, prejamas became a way of life for many during covid as they stayed home for work, school, quarantining, or social distancing.

Nowadays, many people wear prejamas for going almost anywhere, especially to Walmart. However, it is generally frowned upon to wear prejamas when attending formal occasions, such as weddings, funerals, and job interviews.

Example

Nikki's been in her prejamas all day
I don't blame her. I would too if I didn't have to go to a wedding today
