Children's television and book enthusiasts may refer to Thomas the Tank Engine as TTTE. Most often, people do this when talking about the TV show in which Thomas (an anthropomorphized locomotive) stars.
However, the show formerly known as Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends is now named Thomas & Friends (with some seasons and shows featuring various subtitles). Thus, using TTTE to refer to later seasons and versions of the show is technically incorrect.
