UX

What does UX mean?

User Experience

UX is the overall interaction a person experiences with a product, service, or system, especially in the context of software or websites. It applies to everything from how easy it is to navigate and its design elements to how intuitive and satisfying the product is for a user. While many people use it interchangeably with UI, UX goes beyond just the interface—encapsulating the user's entire journey.

You will likely encounter UX in tech and design spaces (online, messaging, or in person) when describing how effectively a product meets the needs and expectations of its users. These instances of UX typically consider factors like usability, accessibility, and emotional response. Generally, a good UX ensures that users can achieve their goals smoothly and enjoyably, while a poor UX typically leads to frustration and confusion (and negative reviews).
