Brick house is another way to describe a woman with a voluptuous figure. It is meant to be a compliment, as the woman is well-built and "stacked" (well-endowed above and below), like a 2-story house made of bricks.
People may use "brick house" (or "brickhouse") in real life (IRL), in messages, and online (especially on social media) to refer to women they find physically attractive. For example, your uncle may describe a girlfriend from his 20s as a "brick house." Or, your friend may remark, "Wow, I didn't know that Emily was such a brick house."
While brick house is meant to be a compliment, some women may not appreciate being described as an object. Therefore, be judicious with whom you use it.
Origin of brick house
The slang term "brick house" originated from Shirley Hanna-King, the wife of William King (a member of the R&B group The Commodores in the 1970s). She wrote the song "Brick House" and the band recorded and released it in 1977, quickly becoming a hit. Lyrics from the song include:
"Ow, she's a brick house. Well put-together, everybody knows. She's a brick house. Ow, that lady stacked and that's a fact"
