Carcolepsy

What does carcolepsy mean?

A condition of falling asleep once the car moves

Carcolepsy is a condition where a person begins to fall asleep once the car starts moving. Carcolepsy commonly develops in persons that venture on road trips and grow accustomed to the soothing sounds of the road.

Carcoleptic individuals are usually "lights out" within 30 minutes of beginning the road trip and are a great source of entertainment for putting things in their mouths or positioning their bodies in suggestive poses. If you suffer from carcolepsy you should not drive for long periods of time.

Example

My dad seems to sleep best on the road cuz his carcolepsy always kicks in once we leave the driveway.
