Female hairstyle that is short in front and long in back
My mom got a femullet yesterday, and I don't know what to think.

A femullet is the female version of the mullet hairstyle. The haircut includes short hair in the front and long in the back.
Origin of Mullet
It is unclear who first coined the slang term "femullet" (they simply combined "female" and "mullet"), but it dates back to at least the early 2000s. However, the hairstyle dates back to at least the 1960s. Women like Jane Fonda, Carol Brady, Cher, Joan Jett, and Liza Minnelli are all pioneers of the 20th-century femullet.
The femullet has evolved over the years, as well, birthing many iterations of the style. Some modern takes on femullets have been popularized by Zendaya, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga.
