Fish

1. What does fish mean?

Casual fantasy sports player

Fish is a term for one or more DFS players that are inexperienced and easy to beat. They are often taken advantage of by sharks that prey on weak competition.

These fish, often called minnows, are usually new to the format or just casual players and have not built up the skill to compete with more experienced players. Roughly 70% of them lose money playing DFS, which goes to the sharks that feed on their losses. The term is similar to the "shooting fish in a barrel" phrase.
