Fommy

What does fommy mean?

Father mommy

Fommy means father mommy, which describes a dad who takes over many of the responsibilities of a stereotypical mother. The term may also refer to a mother who takes on fatherly duties but is not used as commonly.

In most patriarchal societies, the mother is expected to take on many of the parenting responsibilities of her children, especially young children, while the father works. However, fathers may take over the role of mother due to the mom working, being sick, etc. This term has been depicted in may shows and movies including the 1983 film "Mr. Mom" and the 2014 film "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day."
