Home Box Office

While pretty much everyone knows what "HBO" is, not many know it stands for "Home Box Office." It originally started as a premium television network and then morphed into a content-streaming service (known as "Max") that features theatrically released movies, original shows and movies, concert specials, and stand-up comedy specials.

HBO is primarily known for its edgy, critically acclaimed shows and movies. Because of this, any entertainment fan has likely watched content on HBO. Some of its most well-known offerings include:

  • Game of Thrones - 2011-2019
  • The Sopranos - 1999-2007
  • Veep - 2012-2019

  • The Wire - 2002-2008
  • Curb Your Enthusiasm - 2000-
  • Succession - 2018-2023
