Handphone
On rare occasions, people may use hp to refer to a landline phone, or "handphone." This abbreviation is not used much anymore, because almost no one still uses landline phones.
However, those who have a landline installed in their house may tell you to give them a ring on their hp, rather than their cell phone. Using an hp can avoid signal loss and dropped calls ... though of course, that's guaranteed only if you also use a handphone.

HP means hit points. It is a gaming term that describes the amount of health a unit or character has.
Hit points are a good indicator for how strong a character or unit is, as characters with higher hit points can sustain more damage. When HP is reduced to 0 through fights or other damage the character either faints or dies.
