JMO stands for "just my opinion." When someone includes this acronym in a message, they're letting you know the message contains their personal opinion - which may be right or wrong.
Typically, people use JMO when they have a stance on something, but they don't want to push that stance on you. In this sense, JMO means roughly the same thing as "you don't have to listen to me, but I think ..." (Ofc if you act contrary to the person's opinion, and it doesn't work out, they'll likely follow up with ITYS.)
