What does LCL stand for?

Lateral collateral ligament

An acronym for one of the 4 major knee ligaments, along with the ACL, MCL, and PCL.

The LCL is also known as the long external lateral ligament or the fibular collateral ligament. It is located on the outer side of the knee. If it is torn or sprained, it can most likely be treated with rest and rehabilitation.
