LYL stands for "love you lots" and is a quick way to communicate great adoration for someone. People may use it platonically (your mom) or romanticly (your wife).
It is typically used in text messages or online when ending a conversation with someone you care about. However, it may also be utilized in the middle of a sentence when you must tell that person how much you love him (lots).
Some people that you may love lots are your parents, spouse, kid(s), gf or bf, BFF, and Tom Hanks. You may also see LYL as LUL or ILYL.
