Muta

What does muta mean in StarCraft 2?

Mutalisks

StarCraft 2 (SC2) players sometimes refer to the Zerg's mutalisks as mutas. Zerg players often use these flying units to harass enemy forces during the early game.

Mutas are fast and can attack enemy air and ground units. Their attack, a projectile weapon called the Glaive Wurm, hits three targets, with each target taking less damage than the previous. Often, Zerg players use mutas to disrupt their opponents' mining and expansions.
