What does peeling mean?

Peeling is a League of Legends (LoL) term that refers to when a champion protects another champion or carry. It is typically done by dealing damage to an enemy and killing him before he reaches his target or making him turn around.

There are several ways to peel in LoL. One way to peel is increasing your allies' stats by building items or casting abilities. You can also peel by decreasing an enemy's values other than his health through abilities such as Exhaust or Nunu's Ice Blast or items such as Frozen Heart or Rylai's Crystal Scepter.
