On Twitter, rthx means "thanks for the retweet." It cleverly combines RT, the abbreviation for retweet, with thx, a common abbreviation for thanks.
Most often, you'll see rthx used in a reply to a RT, posted by the user who was retweeted. For example, a user who was retweeted may reply to that RT with "Rthx, appreciate the signal boost!" If a user's tweet was retweeted by many other users, they may instead post a separate rthx tweet, thanking all those users.
