Snirt

What is snirt?

Dirty snow

Snirt is the dirty snow that often accumulates on roads when vehicles mix up dirt and snow. You will likely see it on streets, parking lots, sidewalks, and garage floors.

If you've experienced snirt, you know it's just the worst. Not only is it ugly, but it also seems to get everything else dirty.

Snowplows are typically the biggest culprits for creating snirt because they scrape dirt from the road and mix it with the snow they are pushing. However, another culprit is warmer weather that melts the snow and combines it with the dirt below. You will often see this kind of snirt in a garage or during a warm-weather stint after a snowfall, especially in springtime.

Example

I need better winter boots for all this snirt. It's getting everywhere
How about we move somewhere tropical instead of getting new boots?
