Spammy is an adjective that describes content that is unhelpful, unsolicited, and usually annoying. It is often used to describe a website or an app that bombards the user with advertisements or useless information.

Spammy websites are usually the result of poor design and a web designer/manager that values money more than user experience. The sites feature annoying and obtrusive ads and links as well as template content that is reproducible over many webpages for the purpose of SEO ranking.
