What does TFT stand for in gaming?

Teamfight Tactics

Gamers use TFT to refer to Teamfight Tactics, an auto battler inspired by League of Legends (LOL). In TFT, players create a team of champions and battle against seven other opponents, in hopes of being the last one standing.

What is an auto battler?

Auto battlers are video games in which players place game pieces on a board and then watch those pieces automatically battle enemies. For example, in TFT, each player assembles a team of champions and places them on a hexagonal grid. The player's champions then automatically engage other players' champions in battle.

Most successful auto battlers are spinoffs of existing video games. The original auto battler, Dota Auto Chess, is a spinoff of Dota 2. Hearthstone also has its own auto battler, called Battlegrounds.
