League of Legends (LoL) players use AS to stand for Attack Speed. This stat determines how frequently a champion (or other unit) attacks. The higher a champ's AS, the more often they attack.
Champions can gain additional AS by leveling up, equipping AS-boosting items, or using AS-boosting abilities and runes. (Typically, champions' Attack Speed maxes out at 2.5 attacks per second.) Champions with high ASes are often used as DPS characters, because they can deal damage very quickly.
