When a person spends the majority of their "workout time" browsing their phone, others might joke that today is that person's "thumb day." This term is a comedic offshoot of "leg day" and "arm day," which are used to refer to the days a person exercises only their legs or only their arms.
Because many people now take their phones to the gym and snap selfies while working out, "thumb day" is becoming more and more common. If you really want to get work done when you hit the gym, maybe leave your phone in your car or at home.
