Poker enthusiasts use WPT as shorthand for the World Poker Tour. This international poker series hosts and televises several tournaments each year.
While the WPT hosts several types of tournaments, the most famous (and most frequently televised) are WPT Main Tour events. Winners of these events are entered into the WPT Champions Club and have their name inscribed on the WPT Champions Cup trophy.
