What does YAC stand for?

Yards after catch

YAC is an acronym used in football that refers to the amount of yds a player gains after catching the ball. Although it is an acronym, it is pronounced as "yack."

YAC yards are recorded in order to measure the ability of a player to break and/or elude tackles to gain yards. The stat can also reveal how short or long the QB throws the ball since YAC yards usually come short to intermediate passes.
