ALAP has 2 meanings
As long as possible
ALAP stands for "as long as possible" and is the opposite of ASAP and AFAP. People typically use it when referring to drawing something out, like waiting ALAP to buy concert tix or receive test results.
You will typically see ALAP in texts or online messages. For example, your sister may message you, "I'll hold out ALAP, but if mom asks me where you are, I'm gonna rat you out." Or, your friend might want to know who DM'd you, and you are purposely holding out to make her mad, "You gonna hold out on me ALAP, aren't you?!?"
