Gamers use KDR as shorthand for "Kill Death Ratio." This stat tracks how many kills a player scored versus how many times they died (Kills / Deaths = KDR). Those who play player versus player (PvP) games often use their KDR to measure how well they performed in a round.
Typically, the higher a player's KDR is, the better they performed. For example, a KDR of 6:1 is much better than a KDR of 3:2.
Who uses KDR?
You're most likely to see KDRs discussed amongst those who play PvP first-person shooters (FPS), such as Combat Arms and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. However, other gamers, such as those who play Super Smash Bros., also use KDRs to compare their skills to others'.
