Gamers use NKZ to stand for "no kill zone." In an NKZ, players cannot kill enemies, NPCs, or each other.
MMORPG players use NKZ to refer to an area of the game map in which PvP combat is prohibited. While this use of NKZ is most common, gamers also use the acronym in other contexts. For example, an RPC group might refer to their chat as an NKZ, in which players are not allowed to describe themselves killing NPCs or other PCs.
