Rinsed

What does rinsed mean when discussing competitions?

Defeated

When talking about sporting events, video games, or other forms of competition, rinsed means "defeated." This British slang term is used to describe competitions in which one participant or team thoroughly wrecked another.

For example, after a soccer match in which Manchester United handily defeated Chelsea, a United fan might post "We rinsed Chelsea, what a glorious beating" to Twitter. Or, after a particularly one-sided game of LoL, your opponents might send you "y'all got rinsed" in chat.

Example

I can't believe how badly the Packers got rinsed last week
A gamer who rinsed their opponent
