A work husband is a guy you are BFFs with at work. You and your work husband are supportive of each other and enjoy each other's company, but are not tethered together emotionally or romantically (usually), like a real marriage.
Work husbands are similar to work boyfriends but a bit more serious (hence the upgrade to work marriage). A work husband may save a seat for you at lunch, cheer you up when you've had a rough day, and help you get a promotion.
People may have a work husband even if they are actually married. The term is not meant to make a SO jealous. However, if the relationship crosses any boundaries and extends outside the work environment, the SO may become jealous.
