StarCraft 2 (SC2) players use ZvT to stand for Zerg versus Terran. This acronym describes a match in which a Zerg player faces off against a Terran player.
In PvP (not to be confused with Protoss versus Protoss) games, SC2 players pick from one of the game's three races and attempt to destroy their opponent. The Zerg are a race of xenomorphic mutants, while the Terrans are normal humans.
The ZvT matchup hinges on whether the Zerg player can survive to the late game. If they do, their superior numbers and units should overwhelm their opponent's forces.
