2. What does PvZ stand for in StarCraft 2?

Protoss versus Zerg

StarCraft 2 (SC2) players use PvZ to stand for Protoss versus Zerg. This acronym describes a match in which a Protoss player faces off against a Zerg player.

In SC2 PvP (not to be confused with Protoss versus Protoss) games, players pick from one of the game's three races and attempt to defeat their opponent. The Protoss are a psionic, technologically-advanced race, while the Zerg are xenomorphic mutants.

In the PvZ matchup, the Protoss player typically plays defensively, attempting to counter the more-mobile Zerg's early attacks with embankments and Photon Cannons. If the Protoss player can hold their position, they can then switch to attacking the Zerg's expansions.

Example

I know it goes against conventional wisdom, but I like going for early air attacks against Zerg in my PvZ matchups, since it sometimes catches them off-guard
