The term gained traction in 2025 through TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and elementary and middle school kids. The origin of 41 traces back to the "41 song" rap song by Blizzi Boi, who repeatedly references the number, including the now-viral line "41 but I got 41 goals" (sometimes debated as "golds"). The trend gained popularity after Blizzi Boi posted humorous videos of himself performing the line with aging filters and the caption "Did unc snap?", which helped turn 41 into a meme.
