Fans of the pop-punk rock band My Chemical Romance (MCR) may refer to themselves as part of the MCRmy. In the past, this designation referred to the official street team that Warner Records used to promote MCR, by handing out flyers and freebies. It was also the name of a popular MCR forum. However, it now refers to the overall MCR fandom.
You may encounter the MCRmy online, on social media and music forums, or IRL, at MCR concerts and other events. For example, an MCR fan excited about an upcoming tour may post "MCRmy rise up, we're back!" to their social media account, along with a list of tour dates.
Other names for MCR fans
MCR fans also sometimes refer to themselves as Killjoys, a reference to MCR's fourth album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. However, most fans prefer the era-agnostic appellation MCRmy.
