A mistweet is a Twitter term that refers to a tweet that a person regrets posting. The term comes from the combination of "mistake" and "tweet."

The mistweet may be a mistake because it's inappropriate, hurts someone's feelings, includes misspelled words, or contains incorrect information. You can always delete a mistweet from your TL but other users may take a screenshot of it before you do so be quick to remove it.
