Ready golf is a type of golf gameplay where players within a group hit when they are ready. The player usually knows what club he or she is going to use and how to approach the shot before getting to the ball, which allows gameplay to be sped up.
The formal golf protocol is that the player who has honors hits first from the tee and the player farthest from the hole hits first the rest of the hole. Usually, honors goes to the player who had the lowest score on the preceding hole. However, when time is of the essence, casual golfers turn to ready golf to speed up the game.
