Multiplayer
Gamers sometimes use MP as shorthand for "multiplayer." In MP games and game modes, more than one player can play in the same game world at the same time. This is a contrast to single-player games, in which only one player can play at a time.
MP games may be cooperative, in which players work together to achieve a goal, competitive, in which players compete against each other, or a combination of the two. In most cases, MP games allow players to interact with each other - so players can help their teammates and hinder (or kill) their opponents.

Merry part
MP is an acronym that stands for "merry part," which is a way of saying goodbye to a group of people. The acronym typically appears in texts and online when parting ways at the end of a conversation.
The "merry part" phrase actually comes from Wiccan culture when closing a circle. They say "Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again." But you don't have to be a witch or pagan to use the acronym.
In fantasy video games, such as League of Legends (LoL) and Final Fantasy (FF), MP is typically short for "mana points." A character's mana points represent a pool of magical power from which they can draw to cast spells (or activate other abilities).
When a player's MP are depleted, they can't cast spells. Thus, you may see a player say they're "out of MP" or "OOM" when you ask them to cast a spell. This means the player can't cast the spell until their MP regenerate. (Typically, a player's MP regenerate over time.)
In some games, MP may stand for "magic points." While these games use different terminology for MP, their function remains the same.
