A snake draft is a term commonly used in fantasy football for a draft that goes in the opposite order each round. In this type of draft the team with the last pick in the first round has the first pick in the second round and so on.
The term comes from how the order of the draft resembles the shape of a snake, which also looks somewhat like a rollercoaster with its wave shape. The snake draft is different from a linear draft, which is what the NFL draft looks like where each team drafts in the same spot each round.
