WR2

What does WR2 stand for?

Second starting fantasy wide receiver

WR2 is a fantasy football (FFB) position that refers to a team's second best starting wide receiver. The acronym is often seen in FFB lineups along with the WR1 and WR3 acronyms, which represent the two other starting receivers in a three WR lineup.

The typical FFL starting lineup features 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs (or 2 WRs and a flex position), 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 team defense and special teams. The WR position is one of the most important positions in FFB because it has a great chance of scoring a lot of points. The position is primarily used for catching the ball for yards and TDs, but it may also be used for running the ball.
