WR3

What does WR3 stand for?

Third starting fantasy wide receiver

WR3 is a position in fantasy football (FFB) that represents a team's third best starting wide receiver. The acronym is only seen in FFB lineups that feature three starting receivers with the WR1 and WR2 acronyms, which refer to the other two starting receivers in a lineup.

Most FFLs consist of starting lineups with 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs (or 2 WRs and a flex position), 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 team defense and special teams. The WR position is one of the most important positions, usually behind the RB position, in FFB because it has a great chance of scoring a lot of points. The position is primarily used for catching the ball for yards and TDs. However, some receivers are also used for running the ball.
