GOL
GOL has 2 meanings
Groaning out loud
When sent in response to a pun or other bad joke, GOL typically means "groaning out load." This variation of LOL represents a vocal groan of distress, brought about by having to read a "humorous" joke.
How is GOL used?
GOL is typically used in text and chat messages. However, because it can be mistaken for the other GOL ("giggling out loud"), GOL is not often used to mean "groaning out loud." You should use GOL to mean "groaning out loud" only when you are fairly certain that both you and a joke's sender know the joke is bad. That way, your groan won't be mistaken for a giggle (and you will hopefully receive fewer poor jokes).

GOL means "giggling out loud." It is a variation of LOL that represents slightly quieter laughter.
How is GOL used?
While GOL is not as popular as LOL, it is used very similarly. Most often, people send GOL in text and chat messages, to state that they are laughing at something you just said.
If a joke you sent merited a GOL, it may have been only moderately funny, or the person you sent the joke to may be trying not to BL out loud. For example, if you sent a joke to a co-worker, they may GOL instead of LOLing and disrupting the whole office.
