Social media users may refer to their favorite product as the HG, or "holy grail." These users are comparing the product they love to the mythical Holy Grail, a much sought-after cup that provides its owner with healing powers and/or eternal youth. In these users' minds, the product they're stanning for is just as desirable as the HG.
For example, a user who has found makeup that makes them look divine may refer to that product as their HG. Makeup enthusiasts, especially, use HG to mean "holy grail," as makeup serves a similar function as the "real" Holy Grail.
