M2F is a variation of MTF, which the LGBTQ community uses more often. On the other side, females transitioning to males use the F2M and FTM acronyms.
People may use M2F as a noun or adjective. For example, a woman may tell a potential suitor on a dating app that she is an M2F. Or, she may post in an online LGBTQ forum asking about procedures she should look into to complete her M2F transition.
