Squishy is a gaming term that refers to a character or unit with low base health or defense. Examples include a light unit in Starcraft II or a champion in League of Legends (LoL) that can be easily defeated when attacked. Squishy units are the opposite of tank units.
In LoL, squishy champions usually stay back from the most intense zones of combat and engage from a safe distance until later in the game. However, players can build items to give champions more life.
In Starcraft II, squishy units may deal high amounts of damage but can be killed more easily. Light units often stay behind armored units or may need to be microed more carefully.
