The Burning Crusade (BC) is the first expansion to World of Warcraft (WoW), a popular (MMORPG) franchise. BC introduced new features to WoW, including two new playable character races and battlegrounds.

Blizzard Entertainment released WoW in 2004, and it quickly became one of the most popular MMORPG games ever.
